Just thought I’d share…
So as most everyone with a Facebook knows, your birthday is when you get bombarded with “Happy Birthday” messages from well-wishers that you haven’t talked to in years (and others who may be closer friends). Most everyone just types the usual: “Happy Birthday” with an occasional addition that they hope you have a good day etc. Sometimes they try to be creative when they wish you a happy birthday, which I ALWAYS appreciate. This year I received 2 pretty much awesome and hilarious posts that stepped outside the normal birthday wish box. I thought I’d share them with you:
My dear friend in college who I took several English classes with posted the following message full of “inside” jokes from our English class (which may be why you might not find it as funny as I do, but I loved it):
“o dearest sweet mattie, on this day as your celebrate your majestical entrance to this minstropical place called planet earth, may you do so with fountains of unncannicity, rivers of bananic instantant comedy, and waterfalls of beautific molification relation.”
The second amazing post came from my just as amazing friend Rhia who shares a love of James McAvoy and the wtfrudoinjamesmcavoy blog with me:
“Happy b-day Dearest Mattie! I hope all your dreams come true! Including the one where James McAvoy shows up with nothing but some strategically placed roses. ;)”
She was of course referring to the following picture/post:
Which makes me love her message even more.
I also got another one that was hilarious but not quite as extreme, but just as fabulous from my twin Syd (she’s not really my twin, guys):
It’s your H-A-Double P-Y Birthday!!! YEAH!! I hope it’s a day you never forget. In a good way, not in a way that scars you for life like The Hangover.”
My friends are the best! Thank you for making my birthday awesome by sending me tons of messages!!!
