I should have taken this morning’s shampoo debacle as a sign I should have just stayed in bed.
As I was getting ready to leave to go get lunch, my flip flop broke, much like the one above. (I will note that mine was a little fancier with shiny beads and what not, and I was too embarrassed by it being broken because it happened in front of a few of my coworkers that I didn’t take a picture of it and I immediately threw them both away. Yes, it does mean that for about 15 minutes I was walking around barefoot, 5 minutes of which was at work. What’s more embarrassing? Apparently NOT walking around barefoot at work for me…)
So, half of my lunch break was spent running to Payless so I could buy some replacement flip flops so I wouldn’t be walking around work the rest of the day barefoot. Their flip flop section was abysmal, so the ones I have now are definitely not as fancy or comfortable as the ones I had on before. :( But, those were pretty well worn, as I’d had them for several years now.
Then, as I was coming back from lunch to the parking garage, I dropped my fob (what I need to get into work) on the floor of my car and forgot I had dropped it. I was with another coworker, so I got in no problem. But, now I feel like I can’t go anywhere because I have no way to get back in unless I bang on the door. Yes, I could go back out to my car to go get it, but… I’m tired and lazy. And I keep thinking to myself… I could last a few more hours without having to get up to go any where….
FYI, the bathroom is outside of the fob area.
Ugh… I definitely should have stayed in bed.
