I work with some pretty great people.
Some of my coworkers are wonderful and incredibly nice, and I’m glad that I get to work with and see them.
I’ve already told you about one of my awesome coworkers who works in the cube right next to me (CLICK HERE and HERE). To add to how awesome she is, she told me she’s turned on to Tom Hiddleston, which she tells me is all my fault cause I told her about him. Personally, this is a victory for myself. I sent her the audiobook playlist of him reading The Red Necklace, and she suffered the same fate as me. She told me she doesn’t even know what’s going on with the plot because she just gets lost in his voice and just falls asleep to it. It’s awesome. Clearly we were meant to be friends. :)
But a few of my other coworkers are just as awesome and super nice. I told one of them that I’m going to have to be moving in July the day before I leave for vacation, and he told me to let him know when because he’d help me move. I probably won’t ask him (I’ve got two brothers and a dad about 20 minutes away, and not a whole lot of stuff so I’m good), but just him saying that he’d be willing to help me out meant a lot to me.
I have another coworker who is pretty much as nerdy as me only she’s way more awesome and writes fan fiction and all of that great stuff. She bought me an awesome nerdy T-shirt as a graduation present, which is super sweet. It’s also great that when I make my Doctor Who references in staff meeting, she’s pretty much the only one who understands what I’m talking about.
And one other coworker who actually hasn’t been working with the company for very long now is greatness. She somehow found out that I make cakes, and she does too, so umm like obviously, instant bond. We’ve talked on several occasions about other things and she’s hilarious. But what I love is that the other day, I ran into her by the breakroom and all she says to me is, “I’m like super depressed right now.” When I asked her why and what was wrong she said. “Liam” She didn’t even have to go on because I knew exactly what she was talking about and completely agreed with her. She of course was talking about how the news of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s engagement had been announced that morning. And then we talked about how stupid Liam is being and how we can take comfort in the fact that because they are so young and it’s Hollywood that it probably won’t last very long.
See? I do work with some wonderful people.
