You See The Hat?

No really. Here’s the good, bad, and ridiculous things that happened to me today:

• I was woken up early (let’s be real it was like 9:30, but I was planning on sleeping in till 11!) and told to come to church early to meet with one of the bishopric people (for what I assumed was a calling).
• Upon arriving early to church, I was in fact given a calling (Emergency Preparedness committee… yeah like I know anything about that), and also asked to give a talk in 2 weeks (awwwesome.)
• Then RIGHT before sacrament meeting started, one of the gals in the Relief Society presidency asks me to teach the lesson… TODAY because the original teacher cancelled and she (the person asking me) didn’t want to do it since she had already done it a couple weeks ago. AND because I’m a nice person I said ok, fine, sure.
• So I read and prepared as best I could the lesson all during Sacrament meeting. But, I’m happy to say that it turned out fine and wasn’t a huge problem so yay.
• Also, I wore these awesome shoes today and got a few compliments:
• Then there was a potluck today, so I stayed for that which was fine and good, but my feet were killing me. Ummm those heels are high mmkay?! And of course right when I get to my apartment door is when I fall in them (I’m just glad it happened at my apartment and not in front of people at church), and not even kidding, I literally crawled into my apartment because I had fallen right when I opened the door. Seriously, y’all would have been laughing your heads off had you seen it. Luckily for me and my dignity you did not.
• Then some friends of mine came to visit me which was great, and then I hung out with my family afterwards where my mom asked me complicated questions for some survey she had to do for her class. And then she forced me to take a bunch of things that I still had left at the house (yeah I still have more stuff. Don’t remind her.)
• Also I had a kind of awkward phone conversation with my new home teacher. Yay for awkward phone calls!
• Now that I’m home I’m remembering a bunch of homework that I put off doing that I have to do and also, I now have a bruise on my knee from falling in my heels. And it hurts.

And those pretty much were the highlights of my day today.
